I'm blogging more than usual this week 'cause I want to address some of the questions and concerns surrounding the topic of "God and money".   In the past few days, I've received many emails and phone calls regarding "not being able to give".  If this is your dilemma, you've got a few hurdles to overcome in your thinking.  The biggest hurdle is overcoming the POVERTY MENTALITY. 

• You are rich!  Click here to see how your income (including unemployment) compares with the rest of the world.
• You shouldn't feel bad or proud about being rich 'cause it's God who has blessed us (Proverbs 10:22).
• We don't think we're rich 'cause we don't FEEL rich.
• While many parts of the world lack access to drinking water, rich people use drinking water to wet the grass!
• Stop praying for God to bless America and start thanking Him that He already has!!!
• Only in America can you struggle with "poverty" and obesity at the same time

For those who are employed and say, "I simply can't give"... you've bought into a lie.  Jesus watched a lady give a few pennies and labeled her as "generous".  Read the story by clicking here.  The fact is we CAN give.  We feel like we can't 'cause we are unable to give as much as we'd like to.  There is a big difference.  Tomorrow I'll write about how to develop a giving plan!
